What tax expenses you can claim in ecommerce.

It's tax time! I know you’re probably eager to tick it off your to-do list. But before you rush through, here's a quick checklist to ensure you're getting the deductions you deserve.

With many of us juggling remote, in-office, and hybrid work, your claims might look different to years past. Here are some key e-commerce deductions to consider:

Working from Home Expenses:
This includes internet, telephone, utilities, office setup, and anything you need to do your job from home. Sorry, no alcohol or Doritos!

Self-Education:
This covers monthly subscriptions to publications like Inside Retail, online courses, and books. And good news, the $250 threshold is gone, so you can claim the total cost.

Transport Costs:
While trips to Byron Bay aren’t claimable, you can claim emergency deliveries, stock runs, and meeting commutes.

Clothing & Accessories Expenses:
Uniforms, protective gear, work bags, and branded company shirts are all claimable. However, Patagonia sweaters and luxury handbags are not.
